The NFEC's Social Enterprise Model Bankrolls New Financial Education and Crowdfunding Platform - SavingsFund

SavingsFund savings platform launches to enable families to help their children save money as they gain needed monetary skill sets.
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) December 04, 2013
The National Financial Educators Councils’ social enterprise fund supports organizations in need and funds financial literacy innovations. SavingsFund.com combines a savings platform with financial education tools so families are able to help their children to save money as they gain needed monetary skill sets.
SavingsFund is a crowdfunding platform that allows friends and family members to give toward a child’s long-term savings or college fund. Leveraging the latest technology and financial literacy surveys, the NFEC developed this product to make it easy for people to provide financial gifts for children and teens.
SavingsFund is 100% independent and not affiliated with credit unions, banks or other financial institutions. The NFEC plans on partnering with financial institutions on a community basis to expand the message to those across the country.
Another stated goal of SavingsFund is to raise awareness about saving early and financial education on a global scale. To ensure exposure, the NFEC enlisted the help of Jayne Black, Mrs. Wisconsin International 2013 and mother of 6 children. Her role as National Spokesperson is to relay the SavingsFund message to empower families internationally.
“The basic concept behind the education portion of SavingsFund was to give families a timely financial education. As their savings account grows, so will their knowledge on how to best manage their funds,” states Jayne Black, Mrs. Wisconsin International 2013 and SavingsFund National Spokesperson.
The National Financial Educators Council is a social enterprise that has partnered with or served hundreds of non-profit organizations and schools. The Financial EduNation Campaign is a nationwide initiative that provides financial literacy research and resources to groups looking to improve the financial capability of those they serve. The NFEC commends those individuals and organizations that are currently serving the financial literacy movement.

Global Money Week will be March 10th - March 17th 2014!! I am so thrilled as Mrs. Midwest International to be taking part in this Global Event!! Be watching for events coming up!

Global Money Week is a worldwide celebration to empower the next generation to be confident, responsible and skilled economic citizens. Every year, during the second week of March, young people around the globe talk, play, create, sing, read, discuss and learn about saving, money, changing economic systems and building a financial future for youth. It is about joining together – children, youth, parents, organizations and entire communities - to start action to reshape finance, and give young people the tools to shape their own future.

The Momentum starts in March
The celebration of Global Money Week takes place every year during the second week of March. This initiative is coordinated by the Child and Youth Finance International Secretariat. The celebrations of 2013 involved 80 countries and around 400 organizations. The celebrations of 2014 will take place between 10 March and 17 March 2014. During this week various worldwide activities will be held to engage children, youth and their communities to learn how money works, including saving, creating livelihoods, gaining employment, and becoming an entrepreneur. The week brings the world one step closer to ensuring that every child will have access to financial services, financial awareness through education, a reliable source of income, and the will to save.
Youth take action to Reshape Finance
During Global Money Week one of the most important themes flowing through all the activities is the active involvement of youth. We want to make sure that their opinions are heard so they can be a part of the changes for their future- the decision makers of tomorrow need to be a part of the policy discussions of today! The aim of Global Money Week is to encourage youth to share their ideas – but also to elevate these ideas and motivate action. The celebrations are concentrated in one week, but the impact of the ideas and lessons during this week will have long-lasting impact and bring about action.
Together we start the action towards Reshaping Finance and make sure that every child grow up to be empowered and equipped to gain employment, make wise financial decisions and understand their

The NFEC Launches a GIfting Campaign that Can Help Parents Secure Their Childs Future

Families can proactively help their child to start to save for college and long-term financial security needs with the help of friends and loved ones with the NFEC's SavingsFund crowdfunding platform.

Denver, CO (PRWEB) December 16, 2013
SavingsFund was created by the National Financial Educators Council to address our children’s inherited financial crisis. Families can proactively help their child to start to save for college and long-term financial security needs with the help of friends and loved ones on the SavingsFund crowdfunding platform.
SavingsFund is a gift giving platform that allows friends and family to contribute to a child’s long-term savings plan and education. Instead of a traditional toy or other gift for birthdays or holidays, loved ones can choose to provide a financial gift that can provide future benefits for the child.
"One of the features I like most about SavingsFund is that as the child's money grows, their knowledge of personal finance topics grows," states Jayne Black the mother of 6 children and the current Mrs. Wisconsin International 2013. “Love that it's for more than college savings and encompasses a home purchase and a focus on financial security.”
As Edward Siedle states in a March 2013 Forbes article, “We are on the precipice of the greatest retirement crisis in the history of the world.” The decline of pension plans, the severe reduction in SSI benefits and higher tax burdens are things today’s youth can look forward to. Starting a consistent investment plan at a young age may help.
The NFEC developed SavingsFund as part of their social enterprise business model. The service and the financial education curriculum is complimentary for families receiving gifts. SavingsFund was designed to help families start to save money early while providing their children a timely financial education.
The NFEC partners with celebrities and positive influential role models to raise awareness for the financial literacy movement. The NFECs’ Financial EduNation Campaign provides financial literacy resources, tools and training to assist schools and non-profit organizations to share the message of financial literacy with people in their community.

The Cosmetic Laser Center Sponsors Mrs. Midwest International 2014!

I am thrilled to announce that The Cosmetic Laser Center is my exclusive sponsor for all my cosmetic needs as Mrs. Midwest International 2014! I am completely impressed with the owners Aaron & Cherie Gabrielse
they are very rare in that they personally do all the treatments themselves. The Cosmetic Laser Center has 8 locations in Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay, Kenosha, Chippewa Falls, Sparta, Wausau, Marinette. I had my first appointment today and Aaron evaluated my skin and made a personal plan for me and my unique skin issues. All of us have some similar and unique skin issues but so many of them can be treated effectively with several different types of treatments that The Cosmetic Laser Center takes pride in being able to provide people with. I struggled to find someone I could trust to help me take care of my skin. I also was concerned because there are lots of places that do laser treatments but to find someone who has the training, knowledge and experience is not easy! After visiting The Cosmetic Laser Center's website and reading their blog and testimonials I was really impressed and today after meeting with the owner Aaron I was even more put at ease and impressed! I do have real hope that I will be seeing an improvement in my skin concerns and in the rosacea I have. The treatment I had today is called Endymed you can read more about that treatment here:  http://www.cosmeticlasercenterswi.com/endymed-3deep-pro/  All I felt during this treatment was warmth on the skin it actually was relaxing! In three weeks I will go back to have my first laser treatment for Rosacea and another Endymed treatment. Aaron and I will tracking my results via pictures and doing a video diary that will be released in late July. Over 14 million people have Rosacea and it can be frustrating but there are treatments that can help which The Laser Center provides. Watch my blog posts for my treatment journey and visit The Laser Center Website to read more about how to keep your skin beautiful!  http://www.cosmeticlasercenterswi.com/
