It was an honor to represent Wisconsin at the Mrs. International Pageant for anyone who knows me you know one thing for sure my love of the journey of pageants runs very deep. It has been through the journey of preparing to compete and competing in pageants that has made me the person I am today. Pageants are not easy they take deep committment and dedication to getting to know yourself which include knowing your beliefs, values, dreams and passions in life! My platform and work in life is to increase awarness about the need for greater financial education in our world. I can not sit by generation after generation knowing we as a whole are financially illiterate. All of the ramifications we see which are wide reaching can be changed by educating ourselves financially and passing good money skills down to our children. I am not perfect and I humbly share my mistakes and my families in order to open up the conversation and from there I teach. I spend my time teaching women, families your children and mine good money skills so all of us can have a life where we hopefully can avoid financial mistakes which can take years to repair. My love of my work for my platform continues and it is my prayer that my journey in pageants can also continue. My supporters make this happen and I want to thank each one of you for your passion for financial education and your belief that we can change the facts that exsist and make our world one where everyone is -- Financially Literate!
To whom much is given, much will be required (Luke 12:48) If we are blessed with talents, wealth, knowledge, time and the like, it is expected that we use these well to glorify God and benefit others. My mother’s experience of becoming homeless at the age of 67 provided me with a gift of knowledge that I am using to Champion the cause to break the generational cycle of financial illiteracy! By making "Money Smart Kids" and Raising up a Generation of Savers 1 Generation at a time!

I was so thrilled to have been chosen to throw out the first pitch at the famous Pink Flamingo Softball Tournament in my home town! The Pink Flamingo has been going on for 30 years and all the funds raised go right back in to our community to help various organizations!! Mayor Walsch had to catch my pitch which he did have to run for!! :)
Todd McMahon interviewed Craig and I on our experience of being "Mr & Mrs. Wisconsin International" and, our journey to the Mrs. International competition this week in Chicago! The article will be coming out on Wednesday in the Green Bay Press Gazette!

The National Financial Educators Council announced Jayne Black, 2013 Mrs. Wisconsin International, will be the National Spokesperson for their crowdfunding site. SavingsFund is a crowdfunding platform that helps families save for their children’s future while providing them a financial education.
SavingsFund.com allows friends and family members to give toward a child’s long-term savings or college fund. The stated objective is to help them start saving early, consistently and give them the monetary skills needed to be good stewards of the financial gifts.

Jayne Black is the mother of 6 children and the current Mrs. Wisconsin International 2013. She is active in promoting the financial literacy movement through her organization Saving Smart for Five Generations. Jayne, a graduate from the Wisconsin Women’s Network Policy Institute, is also a personal finance writer published in Forbes.
“Jayne’s passion for promoting financial literacy and her commitment to helping families prepare for their financial future makes her a great fit for her role as SavingsFund National Spokesperson. Because of her notoriety we will be able to reach more people and help them overcome the financial challenges many face today,” states Vince Shorb, CMO of the National Financial Educators Council.
The NFEC developed SavingsFund as part of their social enterprise business model. The service and the financial education material is complimentary for families receiving gifts. SavingsFund was designed to help families start to save money early while providing their children a timely financial education.
