Hello! I am blessed to be an International Spokesperson for the Savings Fund a Non-Profit created by the National Financial Educators Council which provides financial education, resources and tools to over 22 countries. With their support I am bringing my Big Yellow Umbrella Campaign across the Globe to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America! My mother taught me that everybody needs a Big Yellow Umbrella for their rainy day! As a Financial Literacy Volunteer Teacher for the Boys and Girls Club of America it is my honor to donate and teach my Money Smart Kid Tool Box to the children in the Clubs knowing that when you Invest in a Child. You Inspire a Future!

Teaching Money Smart Tool Box at Boys and Girls Club!

I LOVE this picture! Follow the Yellow Umbrella! I am at the Boys and Girls Club teaching my Money Smart Tool Box Lessons to these very active second graders! Today I had all of the children take a money quiz to test their level of understanding regarding money. I was both happy and sad as I can see I have a lot of work to do to bring their money skills up to their grade level but also very happy that I am so blessed to be able to play a role in teaching these precious children those skills. Thank you Boys and Girls Clubs for giving so many children every opportunity to reach their full potential!!!!

Why making our kids money smart is critical!

56% of Americans have NO Savings and 38 Million People have NO retirement savings and the next generation their children are not being raised to save. We have to break this cycle and MAKE financial education a top priority for our children. Just as we believe Education is the right of every child so do I believe Financial Education should be. NO matter if a child lives in poverty or wealth financial education should not be with held! What good is an education that leads to a job if we do not have good money skills and end up harming ourselves financially. Parents be a Champion for your child by teaching them good money skills.
